In the 10th century, Vietnam became a nation state, But in the 19th century the exotic Country was colonized by the French. During World War II a communist leader named Ho Chi Minh, lead a national uprising against occupying Japanese forces. This led to the dividing of the Country into the north and south states. There were 20 years of civil war between North Vietnam and South Vietnam. In 1976, the country was reunified under a Communist regime.
Vietnam now maintains diplomatic relations with 140 countries.

Vietnam is famous for its beautiful beaches along the Pacific Ocean and has a thriving tourist trade. It is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. This Narrow S shaped country is also the world’s largest exporter of cashews in the world and the second largest exporter of coffee and rice.
Education is a priority in Vietnam and even though considered a third world country the literacy rate is 94%.
